TRIS is obviously not being developed or supported by myself any more.
Should anyone wish to take over further development of this software, get in touch with me at tris(at)bronzeforge.com.
I would not mind putting the code into the public domain, if asked.
A few caveats:
- TRIS is written in Borland Delphi 6
- There are a couple (maybe more) of embarassing rookie coding mistakes in there that need to be fixed.
- The code is reasonably easy to read (imo), but not extensively documented

I just realized that much of this site stopped working after I moved it to a Linux server.
I apologise to anyone that has actually tried to download something from here.

Should anyone wish to have the TRIS forums reactivated, send me an e-mail at info@trisrpg.com

Since I could not affort to pay for having the site hosted, I have now moved it. Expect a few teething
problems in the next 2-3 days. The TRIS forum will be back, at a new location.
01 Jan 2004
TRIS is now completely free. Get it from the download page. Enjoy!

I have started work on a new multiplayer game project. It's still too early to give out any details, but
I believe it will be intriguing. Clue: Coup d'état / revolution.

Version 1.2 of the TRIS server is now out. You can purchase it for only USD 19.95.
Main news is a vastly improved organization of locations and a number of bug fixes.
Also, v1.2 forms the basis of future enhancements. This means that the old (free) v1.01 will be frozen as is from this point on.
1 May 2003
Version 1.2 of the server is being beta tested. Existing customers and testers can drop me a mail to receive a copy now.
The new version will be released as a non-free product at a wallet friendly $19.95. The hardware fingerprint feature has been removed (for the time being).
Version 1.0 will probably remain free, but will not receive any support or bug fixes.

Not much happening, partly due to lack of interest in TRIS. If you actually use the program, you might want to
check out the latest entry in the Work in Progress forum.

I have decided to make the TRIS Server available for free for the time being. Please note that downloading and using the free server does
not automatically make you eligible for free upgrades, and that newer versions of TRIS may revert to commercial status without notice.
The free copy you have downloaded will continue to work without restrictions, however.

The latest version of the Client lets you check if you are running the latest version. Menu: Help -> Check for update
23 Feb 2003
Although things may appear quiet, we are working hard to fix a number of smaller issues and also adding minor enhancements.
14 Feb 2003
Posted a new beta-demo of the server. It features image transfer code.
05 Feb 2003
Client v1.0.2 posted. It fixes issues for people running with a 800x600 resolution.
02 Feb 2003
A new version of TRIS that supports sending and displaying pictures on the player
clients is now in testing.

A small gift for role players out there.
We are giving away our trusty, old Character Name Generator utility for free.
Yes, it's not flashy, but we think it's pretty good at doing what it's supposed to do.
And you can expand on those data files yourself with Notepad.
Enjoy.

The server patch for v1.0.1 has been published in the download page.
It fixes the following bugs:
- A couple of cosmetic bugs on the Scenario Setup tab
- An "Index Out Of Bounds" error on the Scene tab
Download the patch and run it to upgrade your server.
The Server Demo should now be fixed as well.

It has been decided that the datafile format for TRIS v1.1 will change. Most likely TRIS v1.1 will
read v1.0 files (and if not, we will provide a conversion utility)
18 Jan 2003
Removed the no Load limitation of the Server Demo. I.e. you can now load scenario files.

TRIS is available for purchase
